The Act Too Players (ATP), Williamson County’s premier training program for all youths interested in the performing arts will take the stage in May with the mounting of three musical productions: Once Upon a Mattress, Princess and the Pea, and Company. There will also be a Saturday morning performance of the play, Charlotte’s Web. The productions will run from May 9th through May 18th at the historic Franklin Theatre located in Downtown Franklin, Tennessee.
Theatre Arts Director Sondra Morton stated, “In January, the Act Too Players successfully produced three different children’s at the Franklin Theatre. We had a wonderful experience and we are looking forward to being at the Franklin Theatre for our May shows and for our summer camps.”
COMPANY features a brilliantly brisk and energetic score containing many of Stephen Sondheim’s best known songs. A sophisticated and honest look at relationships from musical theatre’s most renowned composer,COMPANY is largely regarded as a trailblazer of the dark-comedy, modern-musical genre. The habitually single Robert is forced to question his adamant retention of bachelorhood during a hilarious, yet accurate, array of interactions. Directed by Sondra Morton, Musically Directed by Jamey Green. The show dates for this production are May 18th and May 19th. Our production of Company will be performed by ages 14-18 years. This series of productions will be performed May 9th through May 18th with various show times which can be found on the Franklin Theatre website.
