Vogue Magazine was founded in 1892, and has gone through various changes and editors. Anna Wintour has been editor since 1988, and made many changes to the magazine’s layout and content which brought in more subscriptions.
Vogue means fashion in France. The magazine is published in 23 different national and regional editions; Teen Vogue, Vogue China, Vogue India and Vogue Turkey have all been established since 2000. In case you were wondering, Vogue Patterns was sold to Butterick Patterns in 1961, which bought a license to keep the Vogue name on the packaging.
