Have you ever wanted to travel to Colombia but never had the chance? Now visit Colombia at the Williamson County Library with Sister Cities Passport to the World series featuring Colombia. The presentation will feature several Colombian speakers and Pablo Garzon and his Ensemble for Latin American Music “Serenatta”.
Attendees will get a taste of Colombian culinary delights. An exhibit of Colombian artifacts, books, videos, and textiles will be featured. Colombia is the only South American Country to border with the Pacific Ocean and the Atlantic Ocean.
“Passport to the World,” which was launched in 2010, provides a personal look into the continents around the globe. This bi-monthly series walks through the doorways of the world to experience the art, music, food, lifestyle, landscape and heritage of our international neighbors presented through performance, presentation and display.
“This series is designed to assist our community in becoming globally competent and passionate citizens of the world,” said Patricia Kriebel, Sister Cities of Franklin and Williamson County.
“Passport to the World” is a free event and open to the public. For more information, visit http://www.sistercitiestn.org .
