Are you a senior or a caregiver? Senior citizens are frequently targeted for exploitation by scammers. Financial elder abuse is becoming increasingly more common. The Federal Trade Commission says fraud complaints by seniors rose to 47 percent between 2012 and 2014.
In this one hour program, you will learn how you can:
•Recognize and reduce the risk of senior financial exploitation
•Guard yourself against identity theft
•Plan financially and prepare for the unexpected
Our presenter, Cathy Askins, has been in banking for 28 years, providing loans, accounts and investment products to consumers and small business. She has volunteered as a budget coach with the Nashville Habitat for Humanity for over 10 years, …volunteered with the United Way for 7 years and is currently on the board of the Kiwanis Club of Franklin. Cathy is the Branch Manager and Assistant Vice President at the Regions Downtown Franklin Office.
