Interested in archaeology? Come learn about ceramic mussel and whelk shell effigies that were made by prehistoric cultures that lived in the south during the 14th and 15th centuries A.D. At this free presentation, Mark M. Crawford, founder of the Williamson County Archaeological Society, will also discuss sites along the Harpeth River, including Kellytown, where these vessels have been found in stone box graves.
