PUCKETT’S GRO. & RESTAURANT FOCUSES ON EXPANDING BRAND, ADDS CATERING VAN
On and Off-site Catering Options Offer Restaurant Favorites, Specialty Items and Southern Hospitality
MIDDLE TENN. — Puckett’s Grocery & Restaurant’s Southern offerings are hitting the road, thanks to the new Puckett’s catering van. The latest addition to the catering and events side of Puckett’s is expanding the reach of the popular homestyle eatery, while maintaining the same warm hospitality for which the brand is known.
“The quality and freshness of Puckett’s food really sets it apart from other catering options,” said Terri O’Shea Lott, Catering and Events Coordinator. “Everything is locally sourced, plus our Puckett’s hospitality is key. We treat everyone like family.”
The Puckett’s catering menu offers many of the same items guests enjoy in the restaurant, but with a twist — the restaurant’s popular shrimp and grits, fried green tomato BLTs and pork sliders, for example, are available in bite-sized versions. Several items that are unique to the catering menu, such as gazpacho shooters, can be ordered as well.
The catering team also has the ability to transform several Puckett’s favorites — such as cornbread, biscuits and even mac and cheese — into an interactive DIY experience. Biscuit and cornbread bars include locally made jams, jellies and an assortment of butters; and customers who opt for a mac and cheese bar can allow their guests to customize their mac and cheese with a variety toppings, including mushrooms, bacon and scallions.
Lott believes the addition of the van will help Puckett’s Catering expand its reach.
“There a lot of local people who still don’t know that Puckett’s caters,” she said. “We want people to experience it for themselves so they can tell others about their experience.”
Puckett’s can cater a wide variety of events across Middle Tennessee, including weddings, church functions, company picnics or breakfasts. Recently, the team catered for over 300 people at the Muletown Madness festival in Columbia.
In addition to off-site catering, Puckett’s offers several private dining and event spaces at its restaurants in Columbia, Chattanooga and Murfreesboro, and at Puckett’s Boat House in downtown Franklin. In conjunction with the catering team, the Puckett’s events staff can transform any raw space to create the customer’s desired ambiance for their event.
About Puckett’s Gro. & Restaurant
With locations in downtown Franklin, downtown Nashville, downtown Columbia, downtown Chattanooga, and downtown Murfreesboro, the Puckett’s roots go way back to the 1950s, and a little grocery store in the village of Leiper’s Fork, Tenn. Ever since then, we’ve been focused on providing friends new and old with great food and Southern hospitality.
When it comes down to it, Puckett’s is a community kitchen, with live pickin’ performances just a few feet from your table. Authentic comfort food—barbecue smoked slow ‘n’ low over cherry wood, the home-cooked sides, even a few upscale dishes—is what Puckett’s aims for you to remember.
