The Citizens for Brentwood Green Space will hold the 4th annual “A Walk in the Park” fundraising event at Marcella Vivrette Smith Park on Wilson Pike on Sunday, September 16, 2018. The FREE family-oriented event is open to the public and helps raise money for the maintenance and upkeep of Smith Park, the largest park in the city limits of Brentwood. Donations will be accepted through the day of the event.
“This year’s event is in September, about a month earlier than in years past, and we are no longer requiring preregistration. Plus, there are several new amenities that should make it our best event ever,” said Gil Hutchinson, president of Brentwood Green Space. “We’ll have several popular area food trucks at the event and our featured musical talent, The WannaBeatles, are hugely popular in this area and they create a fun atmosphere for the whole family.” According to Hutchinson, A Walk in the Park has raised approximately $36,000 for the City of Brentwood since it was created in 2015.
