Healthy Bread Class, Sept 10th

 

July Felts will be teaching the basics for making your family’s weekly homemade bread by using fresh ground wheat flour.  In addition to the basics, she will focus on using healthy fresh herbs  & seeds to provide additional nutrition.  She will furnish you with a variety of information and recipes for purchasing grain and tools needed to start your bread making journey and will also delight your taste buds with samples of the savory bread and yummy herb butters that will melt in your mouth (and make you want more).

Judy started a small business around 8 years ago called “Whole Grain Bakery of Tennessee and here is what she has to say about her business:  “I have taught numerous bread making classes as well as sold my bread to  some small local grocery stores.  I mainly sell  to individuals right now but love making bread and love sharing the experience of bread making.”

 

Bio
Judy Felts moved to Nashville in 1980 to pursue a music career as a performer at Opryland USA and later traveling with Grand Ole Opry Star Bill Anderson a back-up singer and keyboard player.  Judy graduated from Ouachita Baptist University with a degree in Music Education.  She later pursued graduate studies at Auburn University and Middle TN State University.  She taught high school music for 6 years.  She has sung for numerous churches, women’s conferences, special events and mission organizations.  She has traveled to over 15 foreign countries. 

Judy has a wide variety of interests.  She presently serves as the Chairman of the Speakers Bureau for the Herb Society of Nashville.  Judy and her husband are both  Master Gardeners and Judy speaks for numerous garden organizations on growing and cooking with Herbs.  Judy also loves bread making and offers classes on making bread.  

Judy has been married to Mike Felts for 33 years and they have 2 children and 3 grandsons. 

In addition to Judy’s solo Christian ministry “Judy Felts Ministies”, she also performs with Lee Porter as a duo with piano, guitar, string bass and percussion.  They have performed together for the last 10 years and are available for churches, conferences and events.
