- Tuesday, February 27, 12 – 2 p.m., Franklin City Hall, 109 3rd Ave. South
These non-certification classes are for those who want to learn CPR and do not need a CPR course completion card to meet a job requirement.
Participants will learn how to perform CPR, use an AED, and relieve choking in adults, children and infants. The classes are recommended for those who are 12 years of age and older.
According to the American Heart Association, 70 percent of Americans may feel helpless to act during a cardiac emergency because they do not know how, or lack the confidence, to administer CPR. This statistic could hit close to home, because AHA says home is where 88 percent of cardiac arrests occur. Put very simply, the life you save with CPR is mostly likely to be someone you love.
