Join us in the meeting room on the first floor to watch the Hampstead Stage Company (HSC) bring the beloved classic novel by Robert Louis Stevenson to life. Treasure Island is a fantastical tale of pirates, adventure, and buried treasure. There are three free performances scheduled with one at 2:30, 4:00 and 6 pm in the first floor meeting room of the Williamson County Public Library.
HSC is dedicated to educating audiences across the country by bringing classic literature to life through live theatre. We believe that high-quality theatre should be accessible to everyone, regardless of socioeconomic background. HSC performs over 2,000 shows annually, serving nearly a quarter of a million audience members every year.
HSC is a nonprofit national educational touring theatre. Every year, they produce four theatrical tours: spring, summer, fall and The Signature Series. Their performances are one-hour original adaptations of literary classics with professional actors, each playing multiple roles. Hampstead’s educational plays take the classics and use them to focus on strengthening 21st century content and skills including empathy, creativity, innovation, critical thinking, collaboration, leadership, and responsibility.
