The Williamson County Board of Education has a new Strategic Plan. The plan was adopted at its June 19 meeting and will be in place for 2017-2024.
The adopted vision is to create a supportive environment where students are challenged in the areas of academics, arts and athletics.
The mission is to provide a quality education to all students and support their intellectual, physical, emotional and social development.
The Strategic Plan divides the commitments of the district into three categories: investing in team quality and excellence, improving student-centered operational systems and preparing students for the future.
The specific goals within each category are outlined and include expanding support services for students, continuing to improve the average ACT composite score, integrating interpersonal skills into classes and expanding connections with local business to provide internships and experiences for students.
