Parents and students will be able to log in to WCS Family Access and Student Access accounts beginning Monday, August 7. However, the class schedules shown may change.
“This information is always changing,” said WCS Instructional Technology Director Caroline Hemyari. “It is especially likely kindergarten schedules will fluctuate between now and their first day of school, August 21, so please be aware of this when checking a child’s schedule.”
Guardians may use the accounts to access information from multiple teachers and for all siblings. This means parents may view teacher grade books, report cards, calendar-related information, schedules, messages from teachers, conference notifications, academic history and high school transcripts in one place.
Information on the website is protected and only available to account holders. If a guardian already has a WCS Family Access account from 2016-17, his or her username and password will remain the same. If they have forgotten their password, click on the “Forgot your Login/Password” link on the WCS Family Access login screen. If a parent has not yet obtained an account, they should contact their child’s school.
“WCS Family Access provides a valuable window into your student’s school life,” said Hemyari. “However, it’s important to remember that balance is key when searching out information. It is probably not advisable to check grades daily or on a Friday, as information will likely not be the most current.”
One account will provide access to information about all children in a family. Students also have their own accounts, so parents do not need to share their username and password with them. Be sure to download the mobile app from a device’s app store for extra convenience and check out the enhanced features added over the summer.
