🚨 Did you know that more pets go missing on Independence Day than any other day of the year? The loud fireworks, booming celebrations, and crowded environments can cause anxiety and fear in our beloved companions, leading them to escape and become lost. Let’s keep our fur babies safe and sound this holiday season.
2️⃣ Identification is Key: Ensure your pets are wearing proper identification tags with up-to-date contact information. In case they do get lost, this will significantly increase the chances of a happy reunion.
3️⃣ Microchip Your Pets: Consider microchipping your cats and dogs to provide an extra layer of protection. Williamson County Animal Center can microchip your furry friends for just $15 on weekdays (10-4pm) with no appointment necessary! Collars can come off, but this tiny device can be a lifesaver in reuniting lost pets with their owners.
We will also be hosting a rabies and microchip clinic on June 24th from 9am-11am.
