Does your family have turkey for Christmas?

Here’s a quick tip for #guthealing #thyroidhealth and general health:

1. After enjoying your organic/pastured turkey, throw the bones, skin, juices, and any herbs you used into a big stock pot and simmer it on low for about 18 hours.

2. Strain out the solids.

3. Refrigerate until the broth becomes thick jelly.

4. Skim off and discard the layer of fat that solidified above the jelly.

5. Freeze the broth in jars, filling them only 2/3 of the way to allow for expansion.

6. Use in any recipe to add flavor and nutrition.

Jars of frozen broth come in handy any time you or a family member gets sick!

I add turmeric, ginger, and coconut milk to mine and drink it. So Yummy!

Note: I do NOT recommend cooking down bones from just any store-bought turkey due to toxins.
