I (Cadey) love this quote because it reminds us that both staying the same AND growth/change often require painful risk taking. And both can be hard.

Often times, we stay the same because we believe that as uncomfortable or hard or painful as a current situation is, it may be even more uncomfortable or hard or painful to imagine doing something differently. Or we believe that the “right” answer should feel more obvious or easier in some way.
Our bodies and brains are built to protect us – they love to convince us that familiar is safest. “The devil you know”, right?

The reality is, sometimes it’s not that one choice is easier than the other. Instead, it’s making a choice about which hard you want to move through. One that keeps you the same? Or one that could potentially move you forward?

Let’s offer some compassion here and trust that when you’re ready for change, you’ll know. If you find this a hard idea to sit with – we’re here to help, and we can’t wait to see you blossom.
