I did it. I tricked my family into wearing Christmas sweaters and going to the mall 3 days before Christmas for Santa pictures.
Last year, I bought my parents Christmas sweaters. I don’t like calling them “Ugly” Christmas Sweaters. I think they’re awesome!
It was a surprise hit. I decided a few days ago to go to the mall for Santa pics since none of our Christmas plans have worked out. I didn’t mention the sweaters. I let Leo decide if he wanted to wear his shark sweater or Grinch sweatshirt. He picked the shark sweater. I put my sweater on too. So, my mom says she should wear hers then. Somehow, she convinced my dad to wear his too.
We get to the mall and everyone starts looking at us. Some laughing, some just smiling. Some complimented us. Someone even said we were “spreading Christmas cheer”. I thought it was great and was laughing the whole time. My parents were a little embarrassed. Well, my mom a lot. I think that kind of embarrassment is good a little. I felt bad but she will like the memory. Santa had a bit of toilet humor. That was unexpected lol
I’m debating on making cards and just mailing them out late. As Linda would say “we’re still in the window”
