I had a few people reach out to me about yesterday’s post, so lets dive deeper, shall we??
STOP THE INJURY BEFORE IT STOPS YOU!
A few myths I’d like to point out:
1) not everyone should be squatting below 90 degrees
2) health and wellness is certainly not about “just starting a fitness program” but about starting a program correctly
3) You do not HAVE to add cardio in for the best program
4) you should stop working out if you have pain (this one is for us physical therapists at Amplify to decide…)
One very important truth to point out: it is very easy to get injured in a gym.
We want you to accomplish your goals! We want you to feel and look the best you’ve ever felt! We want you to walk that mile pain free, run the 1/2 marathon, or hit that bench press PR!
But I cannot stress how important it is to take care of yourself in this process, and that means not waiting for that random pain to pop up.
YOU DO NOT HAVE TO FEEL THAT PAIN AT ALL…. THAT IS LITERALLY WHAT AMPLIFY IS HERE FOR!
