I was lucky to stumble across some well-priced Velvia 50 over the summer, and I can confirm that it is a pretty killer film stock! There’s a reason that it was the choice of many professionals in the 90’s and 2000’s. Sure, it’s not as flexible as something like Portra or Ektar, but it has a really cool color palette and the detail is pretty great. I still have two rolls left from the summer, but those are definitely waiting for just the right moment 😉
