Things that cause estrogen dominance:

🀍 Progesterone deficiency
🀍 Xenoestrogens (chemicals in self-care products that mimic the role of estrogen)
🀍 Methylation issues like MTHFR and COMT gene variants, making it harder to metabolize estrogen via the 2-OH pathway
🀍 Low B vitamins. B vitamins are methyl donors to estrogen metabolism
🀍 Low testosterone. Even if your estrogen is considered β€œin range”, if you have low testosterone in relationship to your estrogen level. These hormones have a yin and yang relationship.

Other things that contribute to estrogen dominance:
βœ”οΈ Sluggish liver
βœ”οΈ Constipation
βœ”οΈ Over consumption of phytoestrogens (foods that contain chemicals that mimic estrogen
βœ”οΈ Roundup (you know I had to mention glyphosate 🀭)
βœ”οΈ Hormonal birth control
