What is a “big baby”?
💚A Big Baby is a baby that weighs 9 lbs 15 oz or more at term birth ( 39weeks+ ). This is only 1.3% of babies.
💙 A baby classes as LGA (Large for Gestational Age ) when they are bigger than 90% of babies born at the same gestational age. This would mean baby weighs 8 lbs 13 oz or more.
Neither of these alone are medical indications for an induction and or C-Section.
