Wisdom teeth, a.k.a. third molars, are the last permanent teeth to grow. While most people develop four, some have less and others might not have any at all. These teeth typically try to erupt during a child’s late teen years, although it can also happen much later. Long before they are ready to erupt, Dr. Abrams can identify them on x-rays and advise your best course of treatment. Every year approximately five million people in the US have theirs removed—that’s a lot of teeth!
